I loved Paranorman. The trailers may make the Movie seem like it's about Zombies killing people and about a boy who can see ghosts. Don't judge. The story is a LOT more complex than you think!
This here is the villain. (SPOILERS) She was a witch who cursed Seven people in the 18th century. They only hanged her because she was playing with fire...or something like that... She was only a little girl. And everyone thinks she's the bad one. She was just scared.
The curse was that these Seven people are to come back from the dead one year AFTER their death, including her as a ghost in the form of lightning. But the zombies still have the minds of humans. The curse wasn't about zombies coming out of their graves and "eating peoples brains" as everyone thinks zombies do. The curse was to show the zombies that even though they're not trying to hurt anyone, people will still hate you. Witch, Ghost, or Zombie.
